Netherlands: Turks/Moroccans go home for fertility treatments

Two thirds of Turkish and Moroccan couples who want to have a child, go for counseling and treatment back to their homeland. The couples don't understand the treatment in the Netherlands and don't trust their doctor.  The most important reason for that is that the doctor doesn't take into account enough the cultural values of the immigrant couple.

This according to a study published Monday by TNO.  According to the independent knowledge company, an immigrant counselor could be a solution.  TNO conducted the study among twenty family doctors and gynecologists.  105 Turkish, Moroccan and Dutch couples treated for fertility problems were also questioned.

There must be a message for these inferitle couples that they are missing. Maybe you are not meant to have children.

It is amazing that in their superiority they do not have doctors who can alter the DNA of the fetus so that they insure the religiosity is carried forward for generations.

If people choose to be so narrow in their beliefs wy don't they stay in a Country that follows their beliefs instead of going into other countries for better medical and financial benefits and trying to change their laws.

Who pays for these fertility treatments?

Golda Meir was anything but religious. She was a secular Jew par excellence, as were most of Israel's leaders.

Meir Kahane was a religious fanatic who indeed accomplished nothing.

Mother Theresa was a devoted Catholic who served her God by tending to the poor.

Golda Meir was an ethnic fundamentalist fanatic, who typified the vicious bigotries of the Eastern European ethnic Ashkenazi petite bourgeoisie of the late 19th and early 20th century. I discuss the reflection of her prejudices in her musical tastes in passing in Zionizing Jewish Culture and History.

Hey Joachim, are you as thrilled as I am that McCain's going to be the leader of the Free World and Netanyahu's going win in Israel? The only thing better than that would be if Netanyahu were running both countries, which he theoretically could, since producing a Certificate of Live Birth is apparently no longer a requirement for being POTUS and they can be from Kenya, Israel, or wherever.

The issue was decided when Herbert Hoover ran for president. Citizenship at birth is required to run for the presidency and not birth in the USA or its territories. Both McCain and Obama have at least one citizen parent. McCain was born outside the US and its territories like Hoover. Yet he is still eligible to run even though he long ago substituted shabbesgoyism for genuine patriotism..

Jdamn13,

Have you ever gone through infertility treatments in the Netherlands? Have you ever been hospitalized there? Given birth? You are aware, of course, that they don't believe in pain-killers? I can see quite a few reasons why somebody wouldn't want to go through any treatment there.

Everybody,
Please keep unrelated US, Israel, Russian etc. politics off my blog.

Jdamn13,

My point was that medical culture is not the same in different places. American patients, for example, are shocked when they discover in the Netherlands that they're expected to suffer pain.

Your other assumptions are just that, assumptions. Unless you've spoken to such a couple and know exactly why they prefer going to Morocco for treatment?
